Data Replication issue

Error:

"Employee external ID couldn't be locked" during data replication from SF to ECC

Checks:

1. I checked the employee record in PA30 in S/4HANA. The employee is not locked.

2. I also checked PU03. The employee is not locked there either.

So even though the employee is not locked in the places the system still reports that the external ID cannot be locked.

Questions:

Has anyone else experienced this problem when replicating employees from SuccessFactors to S/4HANA?

If so what are the reasons for this "external ID could not be locked" error?. How can it be resolved?

Hi Sriram, could you please check in T-code SM12 whether the employee is locked? Sometimes the employee may remain locked there because of a system disconnection problem.
