It's a long time since we had the last SAP Cloud Application Programming Model Customer Roundtable. And a lot of things happened since the last time. In June 2024 we released new major versions, version 8 for CAP Node.js stack and version 3 for the Java stack. Altogether we published more than 30 (!) Open Source components around the eco-system of the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model. Information on cap-js-contributions you can find here and here, information on cap-java contributions are also available.
In June, we had a phantastic re>≡CAP 2024 conference with hundreds of active visitors and participants, onsite and dialed in remotely. We touched topics like full stack BTP applications, CAP + Type Script, Performance, Embedded Analytics, Native OData Adapter, and even the application of GenAI technologies. Thus, the success story of the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model continues.
But, more important than technology innovations are the users and customers of the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model. The more it is used, the more it is adopted in productive applications the more mature it becomes and the more it can ensured that technology and features met real life needs and the more we can increase quality and reliability.
Thus the eighth SAP Cloud Application Programming Model is dedicated to your CAP experiences, requiremens and - also - your success stories of productive appliciations of the CAP framework.
