MDF porlet - edit permission

Dear all,

I have created a custom MDF portlet and in that I am able to edit only via "Manage Data". I am unable to edit from Employee Profile though Miscellaneous Permissions are enabled. What could be the issue. Any insights please.

Checked it in employee view too?
Could be that a UI rule blocks it or in the config UI the permissions are set differently (manage data and the config UI can respond differently sometimes)?

Yes, checked it in Employee Views, it is fine and in the UI also it was already set to editable.
