SAP Enable Now cloud customers and partners are provided with access to a Preview Environment that can be used to review an upcoming release of the system.  The Preview Environment is typically available approximately 4 weeks prior to a new release and will continue to be available until the actual release becomes available.  All SAP Enable Now cloud customers and partners have access to a Preview Environment.

When is the Enable Now Preview Environment available?

SAP Enable Now Preview environments are made available approximately 4 weeks prior to a new release of the system and remain available until the general release.  At present, new SAP Enable Now releases are provided twice per year in May and November.  Given this, the Preview Environments will typically become available in April and October.

How do I know when the Preview Environment is available?

As with other SAP systems, specific individuals within a customer or partner organisation can be identified as key contacts for SAP Enable Now.  SAP Enable Now key contacts will be emailed with details of their Preview Environment, when the environment becomes available.

An SAP Super Administrator in each customer and partner can maintain key contact details for their organisation for SAP Enable Now.  Maintenance of this information is performed through the Cloud System Notification Subscriptions portal located at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/csns.  Instructions for use of this portal are located at https://support.sap.com/en/my-support/systems-installations/cac.html#section_copy_387467770.

Who can access the SAP Enable Now Preview Environment when it becomes available?

All existing content authors, administrators and users with an active account in the SAP Enable Now cloud system can access the Preview Environment with the same privileges that they have in the main system.  Customers and partners must have Single Sign On (SSO) functioning for their SAP Enable Now system to be able to access the Preview Environment.

How do customers and partners access their Preview Environment when it becomes available?

The URL used to access the SAP Enable Now Preview Environment is almost identical to standard URL used to access SAP Enable Now, with one slight difference.  The following example highlights the difference between the URLs:

Example SAP Enable Now URL – https://customer_name.enable-now.cloud.sap
Corresponding Preview Environment URL – https://customer_name-preview.enable-now.cloud.sap

Notice that the only real difference between the two URLs is that the Preview Environment URL has ‘-preview’ included following the customer name component of the URL.  The same syntax is used for the Preview Environment for all customer and partner SAP Enable Now environments.

What information is included in the Preview Environment?

The SAP Enable Now cloud Preview Environments are a copy of the actual customer or partner environment, with the new functionality.  That is, the same content and user details included in the actual SAP Enable Now environment will be available in the corresponding Preview Environment.  This ensures that customers and partners have a real chance to review the changes and the impact on their solution, before the general release of the new functionality.

What should I do if I identify an issue in the Preview Environment?

If a customer or partner encounters errors or issues when using their SAP Enable Now Preview Environment, it is important to report the errors or issues to prevent the general release of software that has the potential to impact the ongoing use of SAP Enable Now cloud.  Customers and partners can report errors or issues with their Preview Environment by raising a standard support ticket at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#incident/create.  This will typically be done by an Enable Now key contact, in the customer or partner organisation, or by an SAP Super Administrator within the organisation.
