error creating table

I am creating a table with the field vsolm and field type is ltap-vsolm but getting an error "specify reference table and reference field."

plz advise..

In "Currency/Quantity Fields" tab against the field VSOLM give LTAP and MEINS and activate

is VSOLM is the only field with type QUAN ? Is any other field that of CURR or QUAN ?

And also try create a MEINS field and give that field as reference field in VSOLM field giving your table name as reference table and reference field as MEINS

Hi,

It is LTAP_VSOLM not LTAP-VSOLM. You giving the hyphen it is underscore.

but meins is unit of measure and vsolm is quantity field

Hi,

For every Quan and Curr fields you need to provide the refference field and refference table name

QUAN - ref type is UNIT

CURR - ref type is CUKY

I am creating a new table in that ,used field VSOLM and referenced it by LTAP_VSOLM and rest is history

Click the reference tab and check all the reference fld you gave the information.

Give the appropriate Curr and Quantity reference fld name. then this error will rectified.

I have created new fieldtype with char and its working fine..No clue why its not working for quantity data type.anywayz my problem is solved for now

character data type will work fine. Currency and Quantity fields refereence fileds have to be maintained.

As already suggested, currency/Quantity fields needs reference.

Maintain the follg. field values in the table.

Field VSOLM

Data element LTAP_VSOLM

Ref.table LTAP (To view it, needs to click Currency/Quantity fields button)

Ref. Field MEINS(To view it, needs to click Currency/Quantity fields button)
