I have searched and have read about it.

But I wanted to know the best practice used when formulating a strategy for data migration.

I am used to following the below steps:

  1. Project scoping
  2. Methodology
  3. Data preparation
  4. Data security
  5. Business engagement

I just wanted to know if the SAP gurus had something to share other than that which was obvious.

A better practice than best practice is to make the strategy specific to your project and company instead of  generic (as all the best practices in the web). And unfortunately that can only be done by someone who knows your specific project and your company.

Which means you take one of these best practices and enhance or amend it .
