Each year for the past few now we've held what we call the "Community Day", it's a day we use to kick off the SAP TechEd event in the US, Europe and India. Now each one varies slightly due to audience, location and of course available resources. We've gone big, we've gone small and this yer Mark did something new (and I don't mean the Harmonica's).

The video there is a compilation of the evening event that we had for the Community Day in Las Vegas, with some commentary from various Community Members.

You see each year we play a little with the structure, the setup and the routine in order to try to find a good match. Mark went way out on a limb this year and created a free form "game" night in Las Vegas. It went over so well (watch thew video) that we've decided to duplicate the theme in both Berlin and Bangalore with a few added surprises in both locations of course. No I'm not going to give you the nitty gritty details you'll have to show up to find out! There is of course still room so just head over to the SAP TechEd registration page and go ahead and register, for Bangalore a sign up sheet will be coming out in the near future!

Believe when I say this will be a community day you don't want to miss. Think 3 of the top minds in ABAP, think SAP Mentors, think Top Contributors, think Community Influencers, think total chance for contact and 1:1 conversation with these folks. The video here is a simple taste of what is to come!

To register, you will have the opportunity to add a preconference Community Day program to your SAP TechEd 2008 Berlin registration. (All Community Day programs are optional and you may only attend one.) Even though you can only attend one, there will be several cross overs like the welcome and keynote, the evening party, breakfast, lunch as well as from the SDN and BPX side you can actually cross your sessions and mix and match.

We've said this several times in the past, "you don't want to miss this" and in Bangalore in 2006 we said that if they don't have a better turn out in 2007 they won't even get one. Well Bangalore showed us quite quickly they went from 51 in attendance to 170 in attendance. So all of you attending the Berlin event do you really want to take a chance and miss out on the call stuff we have coming?
