User authentication failed error

Hi Experts!! We create and maintain user IDs in Active Directory to access development and quality portal. User IDs are mapped with backend user IDs. I created user in Active directory and mapped with backend system. User is able to log in to development portal but authentication is getting failed when user trying to login to quality portal. Please provide your inputs on it. Why user is able to log in dev portal but not in quality portal? Thanks ..

Hi Somya/Raja,

I tried with all possibilities. And yes Raja was correct that authentication was getting failed becoz of different passwords for two same user IDs. I created user ID in portal and then in AD and gave same password for both. And I was able to logg in. However, I was getting roles which are assigned to ID in portal. That means if two same user IDs are there then it will authenticate and allow user ID created in portal (data source UME).

Please give your comments if I am missing something.

Hi Richa,

Thanks for the confirmation.

The authentication process will check the UME first before checking other sources so you are getting authenticated for the UME user only. So obviously the user roles from the portal s assigned.
