Hi Everyone,
I've been with Oracle DB for a while, now I need to learn Sybase ASE to join the movement
For starting point, I am looking for the equivalent of Oracle Database Concept book by Oracle. Does Sybase have this kind of book? I have been searching through sybooks but still haven't found any. Sybase Administrator Guide maybe close but too much practical in the opening.
It would be nice if I can found the book.
Thanks for your help

I don't think there is a very close equivalent.
The “Transact SQL User’s Guide” would probably be the closest
in terms of a place to start, followed by the “System Administration Guide”.
As you are already familiar with Oracle, you may find this web page helpful:
http://www.peridale.co.uk/Oracle_and_Sybase_article.pdf
(It is a little dated, I notice it starts off talking about the threading model
and hasn't been updated with the information that ASE 15.7 now uses
OS threading by default).
