Support backbone update for managed systems

Hi All,

I went through SAP documentation which talks about SAP Support backbone update for solman 7.2. Let me know if all the steps given in the below URL have to be performed in the managed systems as well.

Hi Vishwanath,

Please follow the guide that Sriram mentioned. There are different steps for releases < 740 and releases >=740. The main action item in the ABAP managed system is enabling SNote for digital signed notes. It would become easy if you first enable SNote for TCI notes and then implement TCI note for digital signed notes, else you will have implement 3 notes which require lot of manual efforts.

Then for releases <740, you can just request for a technical suser and then replace it in the SAPOSS destination, however for releases >740 , you will have to install the trusted certificates and create the HTTP destination and tasklist can be installed in it for SP > 8 by implementing another TCI note.

There is an automated calculator as well which you can use to get an idea about the steps as for few support packs and BASIS releases the TCI and digital signed note are already enabled. This will give you an overview of steps.
