SAP solution manager purpose

I was a SAP Business One specialist and got hired for a SAP S/4 HANA implementation and learning about the tools that we might use. From what I could see the Solution Manager is similar to RSP tool of SAP B1. I am thinking correctly?

I'm not sure what all in included in RSP but Solution Manager can be see as the ERP for the IT Organization. It provides tools for just about everything the IT Organization needs to manage. The scenarios it covers are:

• Process Management
• Custom Code Management
• Test Suite
• Change Control Management
• Application Operations (System Monitoring)
• Business Process Operations (Process Monitoring)
• IT Service Management
• Engagement and Service Delivery
• Data Value Management
