I was a SAP Business One specialist and got hired for a SAP S/4 HANA implementation and learning about the tools that we might use. From what I could see the Solution Manager is similar to RSP tool of SAP B1. I am thinking correctly?

Hi Mr. Johnathan
As I am sap basis+HANA consultant, I use sap solution manager for monitoring our entire sap landscape (ERP systems, BW systems, Portal systems….many more) and all these systems registered within LMDB (Landscape Management Database)
Solution manager system is connected to SAP support portal. Because it’s connected to support portal, it updates whole landscape information in maintenance planner. So we use maintenance planner for maintaining our entire landscape (For applying patches, upgrading sap systems and for converting ERP systems to S4HANA systems…etc) This whole cycle continues forever…
Hope this helps briefly.
Best wishes

Hello Jonathan,
I'm not sure what all in included in RSP but Solution Manager can be see as the ERP for the IT Organization. It provides tools for just about everything the IT Organization needs to manage. The scenarios it covers are:Check out SAP Help for more information.
