SAP GUI 7.40 installation problem

Hi

just I’ve installed 751 version (ABAP AS 751 SP02 on Linux) and can not to go on with SAP GUI (attached to downloaded files is 7.40 ver). Receive information:

This SAP Front End patch cannot be applied. Either the installed components are already on the same patchlevel or the components to be patched are not installed.

Would be possible to ask for help ?

Hi Rafal,

i just solve the problem. The attached file is only a patch.

Download the 7.50 SP02 pack. Inside you will find the SAPGUI4Windows instalation file.

Hi guys,

I had the same issue, and managed to overcome it partially by first unpacking data from the installer, and then installing from command line via NwSapSetup.exe program.

Unpack installer:
.\gui740_14-80001174.exe /X=extracted
Install SAP GUI by running following command from extracted\Setup dir:

NwSapSetup.exe /Product="SAPGUI"

Now my problem is that SAP GUI glitches, displaying not well scaled fonts, which makes unable to work normally (maybe because I use hi-res displays, both in laptop integrated one and external monitor).
