SAP Datasphere Connection

I have Datasphere up and running and connected to my DP Agent, I have enabled the ABAPAdapter and the HnanaAdaptor but I am struggling to connect my SAP S/4 HANA on premise system.

For both connection (ABAP and Hana) I can use Remote tables but not replication or data flows

When I setup the connection do I need to use the cloud connector for either or can the connection just be made through the DP Agent I don't understand when I should be using the cloud connector ?

Check out Datasphere's Help documentation: Prepare Connectivity to SAP S/4HANA On-Premise
For Data Flows and Replication Flows is mandatory to use Cloud Connector.
