I need some help on ROOSOURCE.
Can someone paint a picture on how to use ROOSOURCE in order to discover table of origin or originating datasources?

You can use the table ROOSOURCE in R/3 to view all the info about the datasource. U can use the transactions SE11 or SE16 in R/3
