Problem installing CR for Visual Studio SP40

When installing CR for Visual Studio SP40, I get the following error message.

CR for Visual Studio SP40 64b installer (VS 2022 and above)

I just installed it and it works for me for both VS 2022 and VS 2026

Be sure to close all open VS projects and any other program you may have open.

Then right click on the EXE and Select Run as Administrator.

You may want to uninstall the previous version first.

Note: CR for VS does not support Express versions of VS, Microsoft does not support plug-ins for Express versions.

Go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging

You should see a log file, see if it caught any errors.

Hi, thanks for the reply. My version is VS Professional. I finally got the CrystalReportsForVisualStudio64.msi file from the package folder in %temp% and was able to install it by running it.
