Hello,
I have newly joined a project and ave a requirement where customer wants to display a report on Org Unit which displays the hierarchy.
I checked teh Hierarchy maintainence and extraction. On Infoobject Maintain Hierarchy is defined and 0ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER extractor(Bw3.5 version) is used though we are in BI7.0.I could see the datasource vesion shows as Modified. But the infopack runs everyday.Th monitor shows everyday 5 records are extracted. But I could not see any hierarchy structure maintained. When I click on Hierarchies All I could see is root node ,no nodes are maintained.
I am new to hierarchies, I know to create hierachies using flat file,But no idea on Hierarchies from ECC.Please help on how to setup the org unit structure in BW.

Haritha

Thanks all for the sugesstions.
Do i need to create Hierarchy structure manually in BW.If so how could I do that.
Will not the 0ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER create the strcuture and load data?
I am not able to see 0ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER in BI7 version and Bw3.5 version is in saved status.I am not able to activate it.Does this effect in anyway the hierarchies.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Haritha

Hi Hari,
Your snap shows as cutom object zorgunit. as stated by by mate, check hier was defiend under ZORGUNIT or not . if not with help of ECC team. you need to create the same str hier at bw side.
Creating hier str is very easy one. first check the hier str was defiend under ZORGUNIT or not.
Thanks
Hi,
Do I need to create a structure since the infoobject org unit we are using is a Customized one and not the standard one.
If I have to create a structure ,then what if a new node is added in future in ECC.As at ECC side design for different coutries is still on and with each go-live a new node might be added in the Org Unit structure.
Please advice.
Regards,
HR
