Logon Failed Error Encountered by Multiple Users

Dear Team,

I have verified that the required permissions related to the folders have been granted.

However, multiple users are currently encountering a "Logon Failed" error while performing different tasks in the system. The issue is not limited to a specific activity and has been observed across various operations.

Please find the attached screenshots for your reference.

Could you please help us understand the possible cause of this issue and advise on the appropriate resolution?

Hi,

from the screenshot I would say that this is a custom CR report which uses subreports. In this case, subreport datasource is not the same as the main report datasource, or the file itself got corrupted.

I am able to preview this layout successfully on the server. The issue appears to be occurring only for certain users; therefore, it does not seem to be related to the Crystal Report itself.

Hi,

"...a "Logon Failed" error while performing different tasks in the system."
What do you mean with "the system"?

The screenshot is so small and unclear that it is impossible to tell what the error message at the bottom is. Also it is of a Crystal Report apparently. You are taking about "different tasks" and "various operations". Are all these tasks and operations related to Crystal Reports? We can only know what you tell us. As you are not telling us very much, we can only take a wild guess.
"I have verified that the required permissions related to the folders have been granted." What folders? What required permissions? Why do you think this is relevant to your issue?

From what I can tell from your screenshot, there is no database name visible. Perhaps that means that you are missing a driver on the affected machines, or you are dealing with a driver version mismatch. Has your B1, Crystal Reports or database version been updated recently?

"...multiple users..."
Does the issue occur on multiple machines as well? You said you can open the layout on the server, can the affected users open the layout on the server as well? How do the affected users access "the system"?

Does your report draw data from multiple databases? Are the affected users new or have they been assigned these tasks and operations recently?

Regards,

Johan
