Need to know the difference between these two tools, as have to start one of them and i am not sure which one can be better for the automation purpose.
Request clarification before answering.
CBTA added test automation functionality to Solman 7.1 SP07. Prior to this, you had to use tools like TAO, HPQ and Worksoft to automate testing (require additional licensing). These integrated with Solman via Test Automation Framework (TAF). My opinion is that SAP will invest heavily in improving testing functionality with its own tools to help reduce the cost of implementing change. This lowers TCO for customers so they can invest more in SAP innovations (increase license sales). Going with Solman also makes sense in that you only have to support one ALM tool (Solman) vs multiple ALM tools.
