Hi everyone,
me and my team want to migrate our reports/dashboards from our BusinessObjects landscape into SAP Analytics Cloud. The dashboards were mainly created on WebI on top of BO universes, WebI on top of BEx Query and Lumira.
Are there ways to migrate the dashboards to SAC?
Regards,
Christian Seiler
Request clarification before answering.
You will have to re-create all your dashboards and reports. There is no migration.
If you keep your BI Platform, you can share those in SAC.

Hello cseiler,
Migration of existing report is not supported though you can leverage WebI logic in required, using Live Data Connect 3.1. This will let you connect your WebI report as data source to SAC via live connection. Not to mention you can connect BO Universes to SAC as import connection as well. I
If you are planning to retire your BI landsacpe altogether then, you can connect BW BEx live (CORS) or import connection in SAC.

Apologize if I bring back this discussion because it seems this is the latest thread about BO and SAC migration.
Currently, I am in the middle of engagement with the SAP RISE team to migrate the current on-premises environment to the cloud. Until now, there is no product roadmap for migrating existing SAP BO WEBI Reports to SAC.
Besides the Hybrid module proposed by SAP, I want to know how much precisely the effort is to migrate/recreate the current WEBI manually to SAC. We have 1000 reports, many of which are pretty complex in terms of formulation, BW data sources, and presentation.
Is it fully manual creation?
And I am still confused by the definition of Live connections and SAC models (universe only?) from on-premises BO because the WEBI in my environment is direct modeling on top of the BW data sources. So all the Semantics and relational definitions are part of the WEBI design. Any tools for it or this also need to be created manually inside SAC.
