hi friends

now am working data service 3.2. actually am in new ETL platform . i want one clarification.

what is the difference between other ETL and BODS?

ETL is an acronym for Extract Transformation and Load. As the name implies, this mechanism is mainly used to extract the data from any heterogeneous environment and load in to the data warehouse

BODS stands for Business Object Data service. This BODS is an ETL tool. Along with BODS, there are several ETL tools to extract the data from the several system. Look in to the below URL to know the other ETL tools available in the market

BODS is the most user friendly tool suited for the GUI instance. This tool has the ability to extract the data from the SAP as well as from the NON SAP system
