Can any one let me know with the steps after creating UDF how can we link i want to create UDF in Item groups.

After defining the UDF should I assign or link up with user defined table or should I link with the table which is already in the database.
While creating is it necessary to take the UDF name as UDF_name.

The naming for the UDF need not be UDF_ It can be any name appropriate.
Also linking a User table to a UDF is option and will depend on what you want to do with the UDF.
Most situations the UDF's are created without a link but again if you explain your business case it will be easy to identify what you might need.
