We have a CO production order for which the material is backflushed.Observed that movement type 131 has happened for the material. It is also observed that 531 and 261 movement types has also happened for some materials. How is the flow normally and how does it happen? The user was trying to reverse the backflush document when he faced the issue for a material saying deficit of stock in sloc. Can somebody explain the flow of this process and how these movement type like 131,531 and 261 appear while backflushing and what propbably could be the issue while reversing the document

Hi Nevin,

Adding on the observations above -

When we post the Back flushing, we are posting the following goods movements as well -

a) Goods Receipts for the finished products               --> with Movement type 131

b) Goods Receipts for the By-products/Co-products** --> with Movement type 531

c) Goods Issues(consumption) of components#          --> with Movement type 261

** Co-products/By-products are maintained with 'negative' quantity in the BOM --> which means, the system would need to add the inventory for these products,... when producing the Header item.

# Components are maintained in the BOM with positive quantity --> And these will reduce inventory and post to the consumption

All these movements are posted with a single material document.

And when we reverse the material document or backflush entry, all these three earlier postings get reversed with 132, 532 and 262 movements respectively.

Hi senthil,

Thanks for the response.Observed that 261 and 531 has happened for same material. Is this the reason why the error happened?

Dear,

Cancel the material document through MBST and do the posting again. I hope it will solve this issue.

Hi Nevin,

Please check the BOM, if the same material is used as a component in multiple lines -

  • one line item with a positive qty (triggering 261 movement)
  • another line item with a negative qty (triggering 531 movement)

Thanks

Dear Nevin,

1.During an assembly backflush in T.Code MFBF,as per the REM profile the system confirms the

GR,GI and the activities.131 movement is referred for GR and 261 is referred for GI and 531 for

By-products.

2.When you perform a document specific reversal using MF12 or document neutral reversal using

MFBF,the system carriesout corresponding reversal movement like 132,262 and 532.

3.Now only if the stock of the product (that was recieved through 131 movement) is available in

the respective storage location, you can peform a reversal of backflush.

Check and revert back.
