CAN ANYBODY PLZ EXPLAIN ME IN WHICH LEVEL MASTER DATA MAINTAINED.IN CLIENT LEVEL OR IN COMPANY CODE LEVEL OR PLANT LEVEL OR PURCHASE ORGANIZATION LEVEL.

Hi,

Material Master data are defined at various Levels.

1. General Data is defined at the Client Level and can be used by all Organization levels.

2. Plant Data is defined at the plant level and is relevant for Planning,Inventory and Production.

3. Accounting Data is defined at the valuation area level and is valid for accounting. Valuation area defined at Company Code level or Plant level.

4. Sales Data is defined for a sales organization and distribution channel.

5. Warehouse Data is defined at the warehouse number level and is valid for Warehouse Management.

6. Storage Location data is specific to inventory management and is defined at Plant and Storage Location.

7. Storage Type data is valid for ware house management and is defined at the ware house number and storage type level.
