Hi

Greetings!

The client wants to store GOS documents in a separate content server to avoid the load in default storage SAP DB.

Can you please tell me the configuration steps to achieve this requirement.

We already have content server in place and we want to use this content server to store GOS documents..

Which "Document Area"  should we select while creating content repository for GOS objects. What is the use of defining the document area in OAC0.

Regards

Harris..

Hi Harris,

Please follow the below steps and test:

1. Go to OACT

2. Select SOFFDB Content Repository

3. Change the setting like Document Areas (Select DMS), Storage Type (HTTP Content Server)

4. Enter Server IP and Port Number.

5. Send Certificate and Active it.

6. Test Connection.

Hi Raj, Hi Harris,

with this you'll loose the connection to the already in the database table SOFFCONT1 stored documents. Please check first if you have any, or you need access to them.

Hi Janos,

You are absolutely correct. Only the newly created files will be stored in content server and get accessed.
