I wanted to understand why do we configure schedule line of consignment pick up to check the system for

item relevant for delivery

Hello,

Consignment Pick-up is done in tow cases:

1. There is un-sold stock lying with Consignee & you want to take it back in your possession.

2. There are some Returns from end-Customer & these defective goods are lying at your Consignee's warehouse.

In both the above scenarios, the pre-requisite is the Stock (to be taken back by you) should be existing in your system as Consignment Stock lying at Consignee's warehouse.

Thus when generating Consignment Pick-Up Order, what system does is try to confirn whether the Required Stock is indeed lying at Consignee's Warehouse. Thus the Consignment Schedule LIne Category (F1) is marked relevant for Req/Assembly & Availability

Also you have to execute Returns Delivery to take the Stock Back in your possession thus the Consignment Pick-Up Item & Schedule LIne is marked as Item Relevant for Delivery

If you do not want TOR & Availability Check then you can use Schedule LIne Category F2.

In Consignment Pick Up process if TOR and Availability is not required then - in standard SAP - schedule line category F0 is to be used. (not F2)

Two reasons / points of confirmation -

1. Movement type: In F2 movement type is not 632. In F0 and F1 the movement type is 632. This is in sync with movement type in E0 and E1 (i.e. 631) used in Consignment Fill Up process

2. VOV5: For item category KAN, ND (no planning) - F0 is configured / assigned
