No no, its not correct.
Batch Derivation is used to transport Batch Characteristic value of Component Batch to the same Bacth Characteristic of Header Material Batch during order release or at the time of goods receipt.
For example in most cases Manufacturing Date of semi finished Materials Batch is also called as Manufacturing date of Finished materials Batch.
So to transport Manufacturing date of Halb's Batch to Finished Materials Batch, Batch Derivation is used.
No, not values of all characteristic of Component Batch are transferred to FG Batch.
Only Values of Characteristic which u have selected in Derivation sender Record (DVS1) and Derivation Recipient Record (DVR1) is gets transferred during Derivation.
I am facing the same problem.I have done all config and I unable to transfer the classification values from sender batch to receiver batch.Can anybody guide me how to solve the above problem.
