Allocation structure error while releasing project

Hello Experts,

Need some advice on settlement issue.

There was some wrong settlement profile with settlement rule was assigned to project profile and recently we modified the changes and assigned correct settlement profile and removed the allocation structure.

after this change, we are facing issues while changing the structure of the WBS or releasing the project/WBS.

and i could see old settlement profile for existing WBS objects at COBRA table level.
Any advice on this ? or do i need to run any program to reflect at existing objects ?

Hi Venkatesh,

Allocation structure is a mandatory customizing element for the purpose of actual settlement.

I guess you need a mass change of settlement profile for existing rules, but mass change transaction would not cover it. Anyway, you know that the table is COBRA...

The change can be done either with ABAP "migration program" taking on COBRA, or any scripting tool that will go inside settlement rule parameters for each WBS on the file.

For COBRA table change even i was planning the same but
As we have changed the settlement profile and deleted the existing settlement strategy, all existing projects got affected and not able change the structure or change any statuses of the WBS element.

May i know is there any process needs to be followed after assigning different settlement profile and deleting the strategy so that i can try.

Hi Venkatesh,

You can test the process first in a manual mode by getting inside the settlement rule and changing parameters with the menu: Goto > Settlement Parameters.

I do not know if you need also to delete any unused settlement rules that were generated prior to the customizing change. This is something you need to validate too.

The SETC system status should automatically adjust to the fact if the rule exist or not.
