Why Hybris 5.5 storefront uses only https://localhost:9001

Hi experts, I am trying to open the store front with the http and 9001 port in hybris 5.5 version (http://localhost:9001/yacceleratorstorefront/?site=apparel-uk&clear=true) but it uses https://localhost:9002/yacceleratorstorefront/en/?site=apparel-uk&clear=true In version 5.4 when I use http and 9001 store front open with same url. what are the changes in 5.5 and how can I use http://localhost:9001 url. please suggest.

This has been the general direction of the web in recent years to make everything https, and for good reason. Starting in 5.5 the accelerator defaults to everything being https. Although you can of course disable it for your local developments.

we have similar kind of requirement where we have to run storefront in http only. did you find the proper solution for it. Please do reply.

Hi, you can change to use http for browse etc using instructions here https://wiki.hybris.com/display/accdoc/Spring+Security under the "Disable Https everywhere" section
