Product Code Creation

Hi,

My organization is presently undergoing a transition from ERP to SAP. Though we loved the enormous possibilities in SAP yet few of my queries are not resolved by our SAP service provider. I thought I will explore this forum if i can get some help directly. Query goes as below:

I am a manufacturer.

I am manufacturing a product x and the item code for same is generated. let's say XXXX.

My production team will manufacture only product x.

My stocks will be with product x

we cater to 4 different industry segments so the same product x is sold in the name of y,z, a,b in different segments.

Now I understand that SAP doesn't allow duplication as my product x is the only item I am manufacturing but in my sales quotation I have to mention y,z, a,b while submitting quotations in the respective industry segments.

I wanted to create item code for 5 items x,y,z,a,b and for example if i receive order for x item i can sell it directly as my production and all team follows this code. how to develop the logic for the y,z,a,b? if i receive order for y can we create some logic of the kind that y will be a sub group of x and in quotation if i mention y, finally it will be taking stock from x.

I badly need help on this as my sap service provider simply said no to this.
