Workflow Customizing

Hi

I want to know how to customize the workflow settings?

In Swu3, maintain background job for missed deadlines.

Schedule background job with work item with errors.

Schedule background job for condition evaluation.

Schedule background job for deadline monitoring.

All the above are in red and are not getting activated.

How to activate the maintain runtime environment??

Also, I am getting the error: "Output Device not Known".
