Can any body tell what is this transaction Code FILE used for. if any body has any documentation please help me.

Is it used to create Logical files for Physical files

Hi

It's used to locate the files exists in the servers.

Generally we use to AL11 to locate the application server files.

FILE Tc also used for the same purpose.

Hi,

FILE T Code is used w.r.t to Archiving along with SARA.

FILE is used to define/maintain LOGICAL FILE NAMES/Path definitions during archiving to store the archived data as a physical file.

generally tcode AL11 is used to find out the list of external files on the application servers. However, the tcode FILE is used to find out the list of local or external files on the presentation server as well as on the application server respectively.
