Problem with CDS

I have some issues working with several CDS views in the HANA database, in particular, it does not allow me to active o even it is not recognized for the compiler. The information I have found on the web tall about the problem says that could be related to the SAP Netweaver version. Currently, I am working with ABAP 7.4 and this information says that it could be solved by upgrading to ABAP 7.5. I need to confirm that those issues are directly related to the SAP Netweaver version to plan a future upgrade.

the question is if having the netweaver AS abap 7.4 does not allow me to use all the CDS tools and it is strictly necessary that I upgrade to 7.5. Or if someone knows why this happens.

By the way when you say tools what do you refer to that is not working?

To answer the only answerable question here: Netweaver 7.4 SPS02 (component SAP_BASIS 740 in your system) is the first version to deliver ABAP CDS-functionality. It got greatly enhanced with 740 SPS 05, 08 and Netweaver 7.5.

ABAP CDS is (in most functionality) independant of the underlying database. But with HANA most features are supported (example: parameters).

So yes, you should be able to use ABAP CDS in your system. The fact that you could create one says that it's possible.

so if you want an advice about should or shouldn't you upgrade to sap netweaver 7.5, it relate a lot of things and we cant tell you about that. but if you just want to solve the original issue, you could tell us about those issues and might be there a workaround instead of upgrading.
