Postal Code issues in SAP

hi everyone,

The following list of countries, actual zipcode length is as follows:

UK [7 digits],
AUSTRALIA [4 digits]
Japan [8 digits]
Serbia [5 digits]
peru[3 digits]
Chile[7 digits]
Columbia [6 digits]

But in SAP, the length of zipcode length has configured differently.

Eg : Actual zipcode for Japan - Length [8 digits]. But in SAP it has been configured as [7 digits] in OY17 Transaction.

I can change the length to 8 and check rule as 9 in OY17 Transaction in change mode.

But my clarification is there any other way to configure and check the postal code length other than oy17 Transaction.

Kindly provide me the steps to be configured (OR) any SAP Notes / Solution would be helpful.
