PFCG - AUTH Tab Missing

Hi Have a large auth in TRN CLNT.In PFCG I Dont see the AUTHORIZATION -But only Description, MENU, ROLE ->

Jurgen had suggested GOTO-> OPTION..But I only have 'BACK--F3" there

I am on 46C

These look to me like the tabs you're supposed to see for a composite role. These roles do not contain authorizations. To adjust authorizations you'll have to edit one or more of the single roles grouped in this compostie role.

Again to clarify my question :

On the PFCG I donot get the Authorization Tab ..hence cannot eidt the the role !

Hi,

Whether you are admin user or not?.If you are not an Admin user then you may not see it.If you are so,then Uninstall SAP GUI and reinstall it and try.

hello George

First you can activate profile generator in the instance profile parameter using RZ10/RZ11

"auth/no_check_in_some_cases = Y.". if this value is set you can see the authorisation tab otherwise y

you can't able to see.

Folks,

This -Auth TAB Absent - Is only in TRN Box. I have it on DEV,QAS , and PRD. with the same set of authorizations.Infact in TRN I have more.

I have checked the auth/.......its set to Y

Can you confirm that you have followed these exact steps

1. Run PFCG

2. Click Goto on the Menu Bar

3. Select Settings

4. Select Complete view

If you don't have these options when you run PFCG (do not go into a role) then you need to speak to your Basis team as it sounds like there may be something wrong with your system

Hi,

in 46C there should be a radio button box to selectcomplete view or basic view to have all the tabs displayed. If the problem persists,

please check also your acitve plan version,

transaction OOAP.

Normally the entry "01" Current Plan, should exist. If this also does not solve the issue, pls compare the T77*-tablecontent with the systems where all tabs are present.

Hi George,

I think it's worth talking to your basis team. You should definitely be able to see the T7* tables and the menu options Bernard & I have in the systems we have accessed (I've checked 4.7, ECC5, ECC6)

Well, last one from me on this thread (I think) as I'm out of options, especially for your version. My test systems are all newer so I cannot even try to recreate your specific problem. (or even try to imagine what your menu and screen options should be)

There are a few hundred tables whose name start with T77* so, that may be a needle in a haystack.... (Look at table dd02t to list the descriptions) Considering that one of the other posters talks about plan versions I guess T777P is the one to investigate and look up differences across systems. How that may affect screen elements in PFCG is unclear to me.

For generating profiles you can (at least on WAS 610 and newer...) try if you can use transaction SUPC

Talk to your basis team and ask them how TRN was built up. Is it a clean install or a copy of some other system. If so, maybe some undesired settings or setting combinations have come along but that will be another needle in this hay thingy.

If your TRN system is an important part of your application landscape and you need to be able to edit authorizations there, now is a good time to contact SAP and log a call. There's plenty proof in the forums you've tried hard.

Also contact the other users on TRN within the company. If they're having as much trouble as you a rebuild may be in place. With this I am guessing TRN is your training system.

But My guess again ...the answer is what Juergen suggested frst which was seconded by Alex....somewhere ..some setting...

tables etc..is perhaps not the issue

Especially when ..Its ONLY ME ...who has this issue !!

Log a call with SAP. Obviously it is not a common problem, or at least it doesn't look like one. This is expensive software and you pay for support. It is supposed to work properly.

A possible explanation for a role with a menu but without any authorizations, and goto´s return to 'BACK', and T77* tables are not there, and this is only happening to you...

This is a role for a trusted training menu pointing to a trusting test system where the authorizations are, and you are a consultant without a master record?

certainly Julius,Please dont Shout..I went to each menu options in my TRN clnt as well as my DEV CLNT (this works fine)..and

did a one to one on the setting ..even the view ...the view was not on the "BACK " butr right below the Role ..
