Hey folks,
I have a problem getting started with abap in eclipse.
When I want to start a new project I receive the following message, when trying to connect to the system:
User <user> is not authorized to access system <sid> via ABAP in Eclipse (No authorization to access the resource /sap/bc/adt/compatibility/graph.)
I have the done all the things described in the following blog:
Can someone help me?
Transaction SU53 was not helpfull.

Hello Hendrik,
to work with the ABAP Eclipse Tools you have to enhance your user role in the backend.
See the installation guide for further details in chapter 2.2.:

Regards,
Thomas.
Please make sure the role profiles for the two standard roles are generated, and user comparison is performed.
In my case it worked after I've done that.

Hey Thomas,
thanks for your reply.
The instructions in the pdf i had done before. But the generation of the authorization profiles and roles was missing for my user. After doing that, it was possible to create a new project.

Hello Hendrik,
Now I meet the same error to you when creating the new project.
I am sure that the following roles are assigned to my user
-> SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER
-> SAP_BC_DWB_WBDISPLAY
and the services are activated in transaction SICF.
Which authorization profiles/roles were missing for me?
Thanks very much!
Regards,
Freda Jacky

HI,
when I am trying to access this web page https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012006153200000764932012E/adt_731_installation_guide.pdf
I am asked a username and password.
A username and password are being requested by https://websmp104.sap-ag.de. The site says: "SAP Service Marketplace"
what should i do?

Hi Sanjo,
please use the update site to install ABAP in Eclipse:
https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#abap
Client installation is rather easy. There is also a document attached (in the section: More Information) that explains the installation steps on the ABAP server.
Please let me know in case of any issue with installation.
Regards,
Thomas.

Hello Experts
I found this post and it is related to the same problem i'm currently having. I was trying to look for the roles in my SAP system so i can try to get them assigned to my user but i was not able to find the users in my SAP system.
Does it means that my sap system is not ready for a connection from Eclipse?
-> SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER
-> SAP_BC_DWB_WBDISPLAY
This is an SAP ECC 6.0
Thanks
Francisco

Hi Francisco,
Your system must be at least on SAP_BASIS 7.03 or 7.31 (support package 4) to use Eclipse.
