Hi to all experts,
Im not asking the difference between the classic and kernel badi i know it is posted many times . I just wanted to know the procedure to find kernel badi is the same as classic badi ...how can we differentiate whether it is a classic badi or kernel badi by seeing the badi definition . any inputs on this is will quite helpful

hai ,
for kernel badi it is created with enhancement points
so if u see the badi defintion it will display the enhancment point along with it
this u can differentaite

HAI , if u have a kernel badi just go in transaction se18 an dgive the name and display u will get the enhancement points and all in the screen , i dont remember any kernel badi name but no win ECC 6 classical madis are migrated to kernel

it means there are no kernel badi in ECC 6.0 .

hai abdul , if i say i dotn remember thas does not mean there are no kernle badis in ECC 6.0
just search in se18 using f4 help and u will get them , and under enhencment poitn only u will able to see ur badi definition
and check them u will know the differenct

You can use search help for new badi definition in se19 or you can use se84 -> enhancements -> Business Add-Ins definition. In selection screen choose kernel badi it will show you all kernel BADI's in the system.
