getting windows userName!

Hi everyone:

We have an internal system ,we need to get client side windows' userName,But cause our intranet IE options do not allow to New Activex.,so we couldn't use Script to get it.

Is there anyone who is facing the similar issues?

Have you tried abap method CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>get_user_name ?
