Changing a screen pushbutton tooltip

I have a problem which should be easy to solve but is proving very frustrating. I am adding an icon to a pushbutton, but I want to change the tooltip displayed for the pushbutton.

I am adding the icon 'ICON_EMPLOYEE' and the default tooltip is "Employee". I want to change this tooltip to "Crew". When I attempt to make any change to the tooltip - even removing it altogether - I get the error message "Screen or window limit reached".

The button is wide enoough, there is plenty of room on the screen. I have made similar changes before in exactly the same way without any problem and cannot work out why I am getting this message. Has anybody come across this problem before?

try to copy that to another report and check it again.

to copy that button you need to go to se80 and select program and in the gui status just right click on that and copy it into your new report. and open that report and activate your button again.

hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem myself, although I still can't explain why it was happening. I made the screen as wide as i possibly could and left the button at it's correct size. I then changed the icon text and saved the change successfully. I resized the screen to the required size and all is well. A glitch somewhere in the screen painter perhaps.

i guess you need to clear the history and cache , due to which that error may have occured.
