Hi

is there a way to add the developer key to a user when creating the id, instead of logging using that id and trying to change a program and add the key then?

regards

Hi,

I think log on using that registered developer id and trying to create or change a program and add the key is the simplest way to assign developer key into that user.

fyi, developer key is stored on logging DEVACCESS table.

hope it help you.

Hi Anita,

It is not possible. The developer key will have to be entered only by the user when he first tries to modify a program.

Hi Anita,

Please follow the SAP documentation on this

[Registering a Development User|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/EN/c8/19766d43b111d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

Seems good idea.

thanks all for your replies, the reason I am asking this , is because we always refresh our sandbox from the production server , and then need to go and create developer ids in the sand box, just thought there might be an easier way to enter the registration key instead of logging with every id and adding it there

Hi Anita,

Unfortunately, there is no other mechanism that you can follow to add them automatically. But, you may look at backing up/restoring the DEVACCESS table, which may make you hassle free. Not sure.. but may address the issue, if the same set of developer IDs are created back.

Hope this helps!!

Pardon me if I am deviating from the original topic. However the above mentioned by you should not be the case. During refresh proper UMR back up should be there.
