Workitem Language change

Hi Experts,

I am practicing on Workflow.

In Workflow I have a task, of work item text is "Item based approval".

I am getting the notification mail to my outlook inbox in English of above text.

Now I want to get the same text in another language( French, Dutch etc.)

How can I achieve this.

Is there any table to maintain the standard texts for different languages. If it is what is the table.

Hi,

You can use SE63 (std. translation environment). IN this, thru' Menu, Goto, Translation --->ABAP Objects -->Transport Object.

Here, for a std. task, give Transport entry for Object as :

R3TR PDTS 92000334 (just an example)

And, you can select the source and target languages also here.

And hit Enter. You will get all the texts that can be maintained from EN to let us say ES(spanish).

THis should meet your requirement.

After changing the text, it is not asking any request.

Then how can we transport to Quality/Production.

Hi,

TO my knowledge, it becomes a part of the Task itself. If you see for example, the Task Description, in EN and then thru this SE63, you implement ES version, then go back to PFTC and select the ES and you can see the equivalent ES text.

So, this change will be kinda, attached to your Task itself and so once you have a trans.req for TS, then this will also go into the same req.

Thanks for your reply.

I am in Support project.

Once changes was made in SE63 tcode for particular task it is not asking any request, simply saving.

In this case how can i transport.

I am changing Work item text of the task only not description.

please give me solution asap.

@Chandu You didn't understand what has said Venu: if you transport the entire workflow task (R3TR PDTS 92000334, just an example), it will transport all the workitem text translations altogether (all the lines of table HRS1206 for this workflow task, i.e. the texts in all languages). Plus the translations of the other texts of the task.

I confirm that Venu solution works.

For information, the menu Translation --->ABAP Objects -->Transport Object corresponds to the shortcut key Ctrl+F1. Note that it displays 3 lines, each line is a key starting with PDTS92000334 (just an example) and ends with 08 (texts of task container elements), 02 (short and long codes of the task) and 06 (workitem text of the task).

Also, the workitem text can be directly accessed via SE63 > Button "Short texts" > A5 (User Interface texts) > TLGS (Transport Logical Objects) > PDTS92000334 06 (06 starting at the 41st character). In SE63, you may also enter directly the shortcut TLGS in the OK Command Field (explained here: Solved: Translation of Task and Work item description - SAP Community).
