We are using BE XI 3.1 SP2. We are trying to create a WEBi document based on WEB services. We have consumed this web service through ASP.NET and viewed the output.just to make sure it's working. Now, If I give the same web service URL it fails with this error message:
Error from Personal Datasource: Unable to create or update the Custom Data Provider: the provided URL is not valid (CDS 105119). (WIS 10853)
I tried searching it through google..but no help found anywhere..
Any Ideas?
Thanks,

DO you know if BO 4.0 SP 2 patch 11 allows to parse other web services than WSDL from QaaWS or BI Service?
Thanks Michael

Henry,
We have this initial response on our OSS. Do you agree with it?
the information I found coming from Product Group states that Web
Intelligence Rich Client only supports the use of two kinds of Web
Services as data source:
- It can only parse WSDL from QaaWS (query as web service) or BI
Service (WebI blocks exposed as web services).
- It doesn't support web services from any other source, therefore it
will not be able to parse an ABAP web service.
If this statement doesn#t match what you are trying to achieve and you
are indeed trying to consume either WSDL from QaaWS or a BI service,
then please let me know and we can organise a SAP Connect meeting to
explore this issue further.
However, if you are indeed trying to consume an ABAP Web Service in
Webi Rich Client, then I#m sorry to say, as above, that this is not
currently supported in BI 4.0.
Thx,
MD
