hi,

I am planning on migrating the recurring schedules, webi , crystal , personal content from 3.1 to 4.0. What steps shoudl i follow to make sure teh recurring schedules dont go out to the users. Can someone list the steps?

you need to stop your job servers on destination, this way none of the schedules will go out after migration

Ok; Thanks Dennis. One more question.- Is there a way I can migrate the report and its dependecies( connection, universe) but not the instances. I guess if I just migrate the object it doesnt bring in the universe and the connection

Hi N D,

If you select the option to migrate schedule job and report dependencies it will automatically migrate the instance also.

It happned in our case as well. We have unchecked the option for instances, still it's migrated the instances as we selected report dependencies.
