Hello everybody,

I have a problem and I would like to know if you can help me

I have made a query about an ADSO in BW, I have made an Import connection to SAC creating a model reading from said query, we make modifications in the BW query and when we update the model those fields that have been added to the query do not let us include them in the model as dimensions but as filters.

Attached capture of the error that shows the image:

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you.

Hi Ivan,

I believe the way to do this is to create a new import job instead of trying to adjust the existing one.

Kind regards,

Hello Martijn, thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, I cannot adopt that solution as valid, I have to define the starting model well to start working on a project.

If I am working on a model and then I have to add new fields, do I have to rebuild another new query? And in this case, what about the transactional data you already had in the model: hierarchies, calculated fields ... would you lose it?

Hi Ivan,

Not sure I understand your first comment. You can start creating a model and import data. If you need to alter the model you can add additional fields from the query as dimensions/measures and create a new import job to load the data. If you add additional fields you probably need to load all data.

Kind regards,

Thank you again for your answer,

Im begginer on SAC,

how do we add those new fields to the model because it won't let us add the dimensions?
