Hi all,

I have question regarding transporting ID objects to quality/production .

when we move ID objects to other system then it shows the error because the communication channel are considered as empty,

and it has to be filled manually  .

So is there a different techniques for  moving  ID objects so it doesn't show error....?

Your help will be appreciated..

thanks,

priya

Not sure what you meant by different techniques. Do not automatically activate your communication channels after a transport as it would result in an error. Make sure that you have filled out the entries for your comm channels, then save and activate.

Hope this helps,

Hi Priya,

I think there is no other way you have to fill manually only.  Because the channel paramters (like directories) are differing from dev to qua.. So you need to fill manually only.

Once the transports are moved to other system say from dev to quality. 1st activate the business systems, then communication channels.

You need to fill the mandatory fields with some dummy values for time being or with actual values and activate the channels ;then go for rest of the stuff activation(SA,RD,ID,RA,configuration scenario).

Just imagine the order you need to follow while creation ;follow the same order while activation .

Hello Priya,

By automatic activation, I meant that once you transfer the ID changelist (after stms import) to your user, do not just activate

Hi Priya,

As above said ;

once the objects are transported to ID ;go to change list right click -->transfer.

Now the objects get transfer to your username. Now standing activating as above said order.

Yes i know that after moving to other system we have to fill communication channel and then activate

for the user NWDI_CTSADM .

But I am asking about the error on <stms_import> .

attaching the screenshot for the reference .

How to ignore the red status , I want it should be as green.

Hi Priya,

Generally transports gets failed when there are dependencies .Make sure you maintain the correct order.

Check whether you are maintaining the sequence .Do the ID configuration and activate it if there is a dependency and ask the basis folk to re import the transport once again from transport queue to quality system. It will get succeed.

I am not talking about the error for sequence .

The error is due to communication channels are empty . This channel has to be filled manually on other system .

My question is how to import ID object so that it should be green .

thnaks,

Hi Priya,

After activating all ID objects, please re import the TR again to quality/production system. automatically status will be changed to green (goto stms -> select your XI system-> find your TR -> click on import request (grey truck symbol) )

Hi ,

Let me explain a bit clearly now, goto smts t-code (in environment you like to import the TR) -->select the target client (for example quality/production environment) --> find the TR (for example DXIK909091) & select the TR --> and click on import request(grey truck symbol) --> click on continue(tick mark).

Hi Priya,

You can try to drill down by click on the error icon what you have shared in the screen shot.May be it will help you to find out what the error is. Then you can try to re-import the transport request.

For importing if the transport is fresh then you can select first two.

if it is not you can select first three.

Muniyappan.

Hello Priya,

You could check why it gave a RC of 12 by clicking the transport and then click ctrl+f4. There you will be taken to an Overview of Transport Logs, click on the Deployment part that says error and then shift+f6. Under the log display, expand all until you find the red line telling you of the error description.

e.g

To:

In this case, there was a transport error because of an SLD issue. Apologies for the wall of screenshots

Hope this helps,
