specify basic type
fill some test data
fill EDIDC properly
use 'standard outbound processing' for sending IDoc to XI

you want to send IDoc to XI.. and u want to test it before developing a scenario in XI.. am I right?? correct me if not
if so then WE19 is the test tool for processing Idoc
