Hi Gurus,

i have been assigned on BI(CRM module) project and the devoleper have sent me the spreadsheet which contains master data,transation data,process chains and reports objects and they have asked me to prepare test cases.Can any one advise what is testcase and how to prepare test cases and have u got any templates for testcases..?quick response will be much appriciated..

Hi Kranthi,

Test cases are the business scenarios in test environments from A-Z steps in SAP Processing. Hence one test scenario can be sales order to billing till credit card settlement. Hence all the data like material, customer, etc wil be given.

SO while creating test case, you will create a order, delivery invoice, settlement. And do the important check on each document which are critical for business. Generally fields, outputs, texts and some field in additional tabs are checked. In delivery picking pgi and 940 and 856sc idocs are checked. During invoicing billing amount. tax calculation and determination and accounting is checked.

Hence the test case will be complete steps u go through when sales order is received till its completion.
