Technical information BRF+

Hello all.

I would like to show the technical information of fields when I'm using Decision table, Decision tree, etc.

For example, here I need to create many decision table/tree but I have a lot of field with the same name in diferents structure and tables:

I would like to see the structure-field and not only the field.

Is this possible?

Hi Cássio,

you can display the technical naming of the data objects in BRFplus but that does not do the job as it will not give you information which structure/table the field belongs to.

You have the following options to overcome that issue:

• Create dedicated structures and tables for the use of BRFplus instead of reusing other ones (this can also lead to a reduction of fields) - this can be quite some work to do but might be worth it in the sense of a clearly defined interface of the BRFplus function
• Rename the data elements so that they are unique. You can use the long text for that in order give meaningful names and doing so you avoid the length restrictions of the short name and the technical name. You can also do so for data objects that have a DDIC binding as the texts are maintained in BRFplus separately
