Submit program debug

HI Abap Experts,

I want debug submit program which is called in background job. i dont want to debug via SM37. i have tried extranal BP and Hardcoded BP but its not working. Help me if any one have/ worked like this scenario.

hey sri6666 there are multiple reasons why your breakpoint may not get triggered.. Often the reason is you set an ext BP but you forget to link it to the batch job user... Sometimes you set the BP in a point where the code doesnt get executed...

Are you working on a std program? if yes give me the line and i'll try to replicate locally...

When a job is to be debugged, the developers use "jdbg" in SM37.

If i do sm37 debug some dynamic variable missed and its effects F110 . Even that submit proram run only back ground job only(designed like). its not allowd to debug without batch job. i want to bug this submit program while execute F110 only.

Set a normal breakpoint in your program. Go to SM37 and display the background job list, including your job. Type JDBG in the transaction field. Then place the cursor on your job and press enter. You will enter debug. F8 and your breakpoint will trigger.

If i debug via sm37, some dynamic values are missed. It's effects original transaction.
