Steps to change the source system for the data source

Hi Experts,

Whenever I am double clicking the Info package to execute the load, the info package is not displaying and instead the error message is showing

Source system PCLNT200 is incorrect; not possible to load data.

Actually source system name is QCLNT100. Now if we change the source system name from PCLNT200  to QCLNT100 for this data source, then the problem will be resolved.

Can you guide me the steps to change the source system name for the data source.

Hi Suresh,

first we need to maintain logical mappings(BDLS,
SM59) between required source and bw system.

check table - RSLOGSYSMAP

Tx - RSLGMP to change logical mappings.

Later you can replicate data source from source to bw and activate data source at bw side.

rest of the steps you might be known at bw side.

At which environment your facing this issue?

I am facing same issues like you can you please guide me to resolve the same.

In my case for some datasource i am able to see production entries as source system like P6KCLT060.

I have already triggered BDLS conversion.
and data source is already activated in BI system.

is there any alternative to resolve this issues.

Hi,

first check the how many source systems in BW system.

go to the RSA1 -> select the PCLNT200 -> right click -> check -> ok.

same thing to do another source system for QCLNT100

if are getting any error there please check the basis team.

if not getting any errror there use the same source system.

Actually we have only one source system QCLNT100 for the BW Quality.

The source system PCLNT200 , this is the source system for the BW production. Recently we have don the system copy from BW production to the BW quality.

Now for some of the data sources in the BW quality, source system name showing correctly as  QCLNT100 and for some of the data sources in BW quality the source system name showing wrongly as PCLNT200.

In this case can we do any changes at BW side to correct the same.
